Therapist Information & Treatment Focus

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) who provides psychotherapy treatment to teens, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in treating trauma and chronic illness. I have worked in the mental health field for 14 years providing quality services and supervising new therapists working to reach their potential.

I strive to listen, understand, and help people find new perspectives on their life. I support people to be in the moment (mindful) by helping clients to use what they have learned from the past and goals for the future to make mindful choices in the now.

I approach therapy from a client centered, strength based perspective, understanding that everyone has the ability to understand themselves and may benefit from having a clinician to increase understanding of self in a pro-social way. I incorporate relationships that everyone experiences to highlight how past and present relationships affect our day to day lives.

I provide a caring, authentic, and transparent approach in order to allow my clients to expand their perspective, gain insights and grow as individuals. I also hold an unique clinician perspective on my clinical specialty of chronic illness because I myself have a chronic illness, which has widened my clinical ability to support others directly impacted (both individually and as caregivers).
